Natalie Dee rocks.

I’m bored.

Random thoughts:

  • Wow, Britney was bad, huh?
  • Kanye is a sissy boy.
  • Sarah Silverman is a little too mean for my taste.
  • Kid Rock and Tommy Lee. Ha. Overshadowed by Britney’s badness.
  • This whole post is pretty much meaningless drivel.

Hope you enjoyed it! Good stuff, this.

**edit** Crapola, due to my lovely template, the whole pic wouldn’t show, and I’m too lazy to fix it at the moment. soooo…. go to Natalie’s page and read it there. K thanks.

**edit again** thanks johnnyfive, for helping me fix it. xoxo

peace.

So, hi.

I’ve been gone for a bit. Lots of reasons for it, most of them probably incredibly boring and insignificant to anyone but me.  I’ve noticed quite a few hits lately, which is a bit baffling, considering that it’s been quite awhile since I posted.

just some catch-up things:

  • still haven’t picked a church to attend
  • still haven’t gotten an acceptable job
  • my house is relatively clean
  • my children are pretty happy
  • BethyGirl1 is playing the trombone now
  • BethyGirl2 is playing soccer on a more serious team, and she’s pretty doggone happy about it
  • I am currently eating a Cracker Barrel Cheese Stick, sharp cheddar, which I highly recommend

Perhaps I’m back more regularly now, we’ll see.

In the meantime, BethyGirl1 came home from school and told me about Charlie the Unicorn. Have you heard about this?

Here he is:

I went to Perkins today.

Oh my goodness, has the bethy life been complicated lately.  Seems that nothing is ever simple.

But enough of TheThingsThatI’mTiredOfThinkingAbout.

My young but wise ex co-worker, who one day will be a famous person in some capacity, I’m sure, wrote a blog yesterday.  He teaches Shakespeare to a group of children, and instructed them to compose a journal entry using only “I believe” as the theme.  He did his own, and inspired me to see what I could come up with. His is infinitely more poetic, and I dare not attempt to compare, but it was fun nonetheless. And made me think. Which is sometimes good. Here’s mine, and I challenge you to do your own. Let your mind wander.

I believe in God.
I believe in love.
I believe they are the same.
I believe in journeys of a thousand miles leading to perfection.
I believe that unrequited love is quite likely one of the most beautiful emotions ever.
I believe that dreams come true.
I believe in fate.
I believe that sometimes we have control over life and sometimes we just have to enjoy the ride and see where it takes us.
I believe in children.
I believe that they live what they learn.
I believe in being true to yourself.
I believe in gut feelings, and following them, even if you don’t understand them.
I believe in Disney magical moments.
I believe that we can make friends with someone’s soul.
I believe in learning from one’s mistakes.
I believe in being alone.
I believe in getting the party started.
I believe in romance, but not over the top.
I believe in breakfast.anytime.
I believe in having it your way.
I believe that once you get rid of the need to please others, that you begin to discover who you really are.
I believe that you get back what you give.
I believe that 20-somethings who have their whole lives in front of them are unstoppable.
I believe in making promises to yourself.
I believe in never settling.
I believe that if you do the perfect thing at the wrong time, you could kill it.
I believe that if it’s meant to be, it will happen.
I believe that there is good in everyone.
I believe that the people who look for evil everywhere will find it.
I believe that I know what I’m doing, although looks may be deceiving.
I believe in planes, trains, and automobiles. and boats. heck. transportation in general.
I believe in looking out for number one when necessary.
I believe in making friends who are not like you.
I believe that everything will be just fine.

3 am forced poetry. fun!

Ok, I really really should be sleeping right now, but I just had to wander over to el bloggo to see if anything interesting had happened while I was chatting with TheFive. And of course, I get greeted with this, from Sindy:

Ok, I think someone has it out for me! Laura, the awesome mommy in charge of Twinfinite Chaos has decided it’s time for me to write a poem. Doesn’t she know I have always sucked at poetry? It’s a doggone good thing it has to start with “Roses are red”; because even if it didn’t that’s what you’d get! With that as the mandatory first line I won’t look nearly as lame

Roses are red.
My eyes are blue
I should be in bed.
And you should too!

Painful. So painful I am going to pass the pain along. Misery loves company, right? That means, it’s your turn … Bethy, Sherrie, and Jo.”

So here goes, and oddly enough, it ended up rhyming.

Roses are red,
or so they say,
but do you ever wonder
how they got that way?
Was it the flush of love
from a random weed
or increased blood flow
from producing a seed?
Perhaps an abrasion
from a passer-by
or an allergic reaction
to the feet of a fly.
It may sound quite silly,
but think in your head.
What happened to that rose
to make it so red?

So of course, I have to tag some other folks. For kicks, how about Dave, Cadberry, and TheFirm. J5, I didn’t tag you officially, but feel free to jump in and sing my praises.

xoxo
